Michelle Cervantes (she/her/ella) is a LSW and a very passionate advocate of quality mental health services for Hispanic communities as 1st generation Mexican-American. Michelle’s passion for healing trauma started through the understanding of her own experiences with trauma through professional and personal venues. She became passionate about the quality of mental health services provided to the Hispanic community as well as supporting the growth of accessibility of mental health services to every human being.
Her clinical experience is from medication management (2 ½ years), In home Behavioral Interventions (4 year) and Psychotherapy & Psycho-education (8 years). As a healing clinician the approaches used in the healing treatment can vary from strength based therapy, trauma informed approach, positive psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment, Mindfulness and mediations, Stress reduction approach in a holistic approach. Some of her future interests are exploring Ecotherapy & animal support therapy. Areas of expertise: Children and adolescents, families, Women (ages up 45- 50).
