Nia Kuttamperoor is a Clinical Resiliency Fellow at Sanar Institute. She is currently in her second year of the Master of Social Work program at New York University. Nia received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Peace & Justice Studies at Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Nia is passionate about accompanying individuals on their unique healing journeys in efforts to interrupt cycles of intergenerational trauma. Nia seeks to engage survivors of gender-based violence and various forms of interpersonal violence through a trauma-conscious and person-centered approach. Nia values the importance of exploring intersectional social identities, which inform one’s sense of self, to tap into individuals’ innate capacity to heal.

Nia is eager to provide direct services to individuals and collaborate with team members in the Wellness Center to foster collective healing and resiliency.
