Tab Lopez joined the Sanar Team as a Thrive Specialist at the start of 2026, excited to merge intersections of an interdisciplinary background in cultural studies, applied theatre, and integrative health coaching to support professionals working in the field of Interpersonal Violence. In this role, Tab facilitates trauma-conscious, culturally responsive training and workshops to support the navigation of complex trauma-impacted environments and the reduction of impact caused secondary and vicarious trauma.

Tab is a City University alum, with a BA in Puerto Rican and Latino Studies and a minor in Philosophy of Arts from Brooklyn College, and an MA in Applied Theatre from The School of Professional Studies. She is also a Duke Health-trained Integrative Health Coach.

As an Applied Theatre practitioner and integrative health coach, Tab uses experiential facilitation and embodied approaches to cultivate spaces where students and professionals can reflect, envision, and practice for the real-world engagements they face in their field. She is passionate about supporting individual and collective sustainability and skill-building. Tab’s work is grounded in the value that care and well-being are essential to liberation, healing, and empowerment, and guided by a “root to fruit” philosophy that recognizes that when those who support others are nurtured, whole communities thrive.

Tab is dedicated to a relational approach, drawing on both lived experience and her work as a cultural studies scholar to cultivate culturally responsive spaces and practices that honor both individual and collective experiences.

Outside of work, Tab loves music, a good drama series, discovering new topics of interest, especially nature and food, and appreciates lots of time in the sun.
