Dom Bordenabe (they/them) is filled with gratitude at the opportunity to collaborate with Sanar Institute as the Thrive Initiative Managing Director. They joined the Sanar community in August 2024, but have collaborated in 2020 as an MSW fellow and as a Case Advocate.
Dom has experience providing direct, individual therapeutic support to survivors of interpersonal violence, as well as leading communities, organizations, and individuals through challenging transitions, complex trauma, vicarious trauma, and more at a macro level. They are passionate about empowering voices of marginalized groups and work in collaboration with individuals to create spaces where communities, organizations and individuals can call each other in and grow their practices to be trauma informed in all aspects of their lives and/or policies.
Dom is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Social Work with Masters in Social Work. They have a concentration in Management and Policy, as well as a specialization in Violence Against Women and Children. Dom is passionate about creating art and expressing themselves through painting, drawing, and writing. They love to listen to music, play video games, travel, and spend time with their friends, pets and/or family.
