Joselyn Chavez, LMSW
Joselyn Chavez is a Bilingual Resiliency Specialist at the Sanar Institute, where she provides trauma-informed and culturally responsive support to survivors of interpersonal violence and complex trauma. With a background in both clinical and legal settings, Joselyn brings a holistic and intersectional approach to healing that centers empowerment, safety, and resilience.
In addition to her work at Sanar, Joselyn serves as a Social Work Team Leader at a public defense office, supporting interdisciplinary advocacy for individuals involved in the criminal and family legal systems. She earned her MSW from Rutgers University with a certificate in Violence Against Women and Children and is a Licensed Master Social Worker and SIFI-certified instructor.
Outside of work, Joselyn enjoys running, training for races, traveling, and discovering the city’s best food spots.
